Terms & Conditions

We at Soggy Doggy Grooming Spa value your time, and we want to ensure that you are always getting the best value for your money when you book appointments with us.

To ensure an efficient salon, all appointments are confirmed upon booking and usually one day prior. Should we fail to reach you, kindly bear in mind that it is your obligation to recall your scheduled time and date to prevent a late arrival, a missed appointment, and a cancellation fee.

1.      SERVICE COST

We offer a range of grooming services for your pet, from a full groom to just a nail trim.

 

Our pricing is based on a “from” structure, meaning that depending on your pet’s individual needs, the cost may vary. This includes things like matting, fleas, behavioural issues, or style requests.

 

2.      DEPOSIT

All those wishing to become customers of ours must submit a non-refundable deposit of £20, which will be forfeited if the appointment is cancelled or changed with fewer than 48 hours of notice.

3.      PHOTOS

For the purpose of marketing, photos of our customers before and after their grooming appointment will be taken.

4.      CANCELLATION

As a small business owner, every appointment we have is important to us.

 

To help us plan our schedules, we would appreciate if you could give us at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel an appointment. That way, we can fill your spot and not lose out on potential revenue.

 

Should you fail to give us 48 hours’ notice prior to cancelling an appointment, you may have to bear the cost of the missed session and must pay for your subsequent booking in full before booking it.

5.      LATE ARRIVALS

We understand that sometimes clients may be late due to no fault of their own, and that is why we offer a grace period of 15 minutes for all appointments.

 

After that, we may charge a lateness fee of £5 for every 15 minutes you’re late.

Please ensure that you arrive on time to all your appointments so that you can make the most out of them. We always message you 20 minutes before collection time – any lateness will be charged £5 for every 15 minutes.

 

We reserve the right to charge the full price of appointments that are missed due to client lateness.

In the event that a client has been late to two or more prior appointments, a pre-payment for future services will be required.

6.      MATTED COATS

I will always do my utmost to salvage the coat of your dog if it is matted; however, due to the discomfort and pain the animal is likely to be in, it may be necessary to resort to shaving the coat. This would be in line with the regulations of the Animal Welfare Act 2006, with the aim of promoting the wellbeing of your dog. Please bear in mind that following a shave, your dog may show different behaviour for a couple of days such as rubbing, scratching or rolling on the floor. Through signing this form, you are giving permission for the coat to be clipped if necessary. There will be an extra charge for this service.

7.      INJURIES

In the event that your dog unexpectedly moves during grooming, there is a possibility that they may get injured with sharp scissors or clippers.

Nevertheless, we make every effort to avoid any such accidents. In the unlikely case of any injury, we will be sure to inform you. If you find any problems with the groom later, kindly inform us within 24 hours.

Additionally, any issues with the groom must also be reported within the same period of time.

8.      AGGRESSIVE DOGS

If an aggressive behavior is exhibited during the grooming process, we have the right to discontinue the service. Should this behavior be hidden, we reserve the right to end the grooming process at any moment; in such cases, the client is still obligated to pay for the entire appointment.

9.      FLEAS

We kindly ask that all pets be flea-free before visiting the salon.

In the case of an infestation that is discovered while your pet is already with us, we must implement a flea surcharge of £15. This fee covers our treatment process for eliminating the fleas: pets are bathed multiple times with special shampoo, towels are sealed in separate bags and the salon must be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected.

10.  PREGNANT DOGS

During pregnancy, we cannot provide any grooming services to your dog due to the potential stress it can cause to your dog and any risks it may present to their wellbeing. We cannot be held liable if you did not disclose your dog’s pregnancy before the service.
